For The People

Four terms. One founding member of Council.
A voting record that still matches what he promised in 2012.

Serving Peachtree Corners Since Day One

Alex Wright has served Peachtree Corners since the city's very first election in 2012 — a founding member of a Council that took a small, unincorporated stretch of Gwinnett County and built it into one of the most recognized cities of its size in the country. Four terms later, he's still doing the same job the same way: showing up, listening, and following through.

Core Principles

Three Pillars of Leadership

Action

The Doer

Alex doesn't wait for staff to bring him ideas — he brings his own, and sees them through.

  • Curiosity Lab — Originated the idea in 2016, championed $2M funding, driving $2.4M direct impact and 8B news views.
  • The Opportunity Fund — Pushed to create a debt-free fund in 2017; paid $3.25M cash for CineBistro in 2026.
  • Town Center & Town Green — Negotiated to keep 300 apartments out of Town Center and secure green community space.
  • Decathlon & Memorial Day Challenge — Founded annual fitness competition and youth obstacle race.

Consistency

The Promise-Keeper

In 2012, Alex promised to protect ownership housing and stop approving unnecessary apartments. He's kept that promise every year since.
